  5. Thanks Jim, it's an interesting one - of course the rectangle guitar is not my invention, and it was made popular by Bo Diddley in the 1960s...

    and the day I can make a good and nice guitar it won't be a mere plank (unless I become famous for my rough plank guitars and they become well sought after!)

  7. Ey! your blog rocks! i love this guitar, but (and i think you may have heard this question) haven't you think about cutting a little bit of wood so you can use some more frets closer to the body?

    1. well I wanted to keep the guitar as simple as possible, but mostly as a guitarist I rarely go up the neck without a bottleneck so it never bothers me... but I have in mind another version of a planck guitar that will give easier access to the higher frets - I need to go back to the workbench.
